Maybe harassment is a regional thing.
I don't want to jinx anything, but I've been driving my car on "nice weather
days" (read: days without precipitation or sheets of ice on the ground) for
over a year now, local, highway, commuting on high-speed roads, etc... and
I've never attracted any obvious attention from law enforcement.
Pumping gas, however, is always amusing, as is dropping off or picking up
one of my kids at school.
