[DML] control arm bushings

I am doing some extra work on my car ( read between the lines powder coating) my front control arms and thus need to remove my control arm bushings.
1. Has anyone ever successfully removed them without destroying them and if so how?
2. Are there polyurethane or improved bushings available, if so where from?
